V-Sport Put In Strong Showing At NSSCC Rally Sprint

/V-Sport Put In Strong Showing At NSSCC Rally Sprint

The North Shore Sporting Car Club Twilight Rally Sprint series has proved a hit since the inaugural round held in October this year. The third round took place last Thursday night, and saw the highest number of entries received of all rounds so far. Helping add to these numbers was a strong showing from the V-Sport team, with three staff members from the Sydney office and two from Canberra competing at the rally srpint, held at Sydney Dragway. It was great to see V-Sport customers also entered, enjoying their cars, as well as the trade stand headed up by John and Todd.

Barrie Smith decided to test his new road car, an Audi TT RS, with V-Sport office manager Amanda Mason jumping in the co-driver’s seat. Amanda’s first attempt a co-driving, she was somewhat thrown in the deep end, finding out only the day before that she’d been chosen for the hot seat. Taking it in her stride, Amanda quickly learnt the ropes, writing notes with Barrie over two short recces, then reading them back like pro!

Neal Bates and Coral Taylor were back again in fine form, taking their third straight victory in the ever popular Toyota Celica GT4. We have heard, fans come to this event just to see Australia’s favourite rally duo in action!

Motor Sport sales team member Chris Paradowski returned to the track in his Mitsubishi Evo 8 MR, once again running the HAWK DTC60 brake pads. Since testing them at the second round, Chris hasn’t looked back.

The newest addition to V-Sport’s team, Courtney McColgan, co-entered with Adrian Coppin in a Citroen DS3 R3T rally car. Courtney was fortunate enough to have Neal Bates co-drive for her in the final run, gaining vital feedback from the four time Australian rally champion.

V-Sport customer Steve Lowe was back again, using his Evo 8 to it’s full potential. We helped Steve out with a lot of the work on this car, and love seeing it in action.

The fourth round of the NSSCC Rally Sprint is Friday, 22nd January. Entries fill quicker and quicker each round, so if you’re wanting to jump on the bandwagon, best be quick! Find out more here: http://nsscc.com.au/
